Beeley Moor and Hob Hurst's House
Up from the village onto the heather moor east of the park to a Bronze Age burial mound with a square ditch, one of the first monuments in England to be legally protected. Quiet, wide views and grouse.

The route
- From Beeley take the lane east and the track up past Beeley Hilltop farm onto the moor.
- Follow the moorland track to the barrow, then loop north along the plantation edge.
- Descend by the Chatsworth estate track back to the village.
